Public event design to envision Melbourne's World Environment Day 2022 with the theme 'Community'.

Plastic wastes are undoubtedly one of the biggest contributors to the pollution of the Earth. Some of us might also get caught up in the idea of not recycling or using single use plastics because of the thought of our efforts or actions being insignificantly small.

This installation is designed to create subtle aware-ness of the scale of plastic consumption by the general public created through a juxtaposition of using man-made materials to recreate nature. From afar, audience will see a wide field of brightly glowing flowers. But upon entering, the magnitude and scale of the wastes or flowers becomes apparent and real. Audience will find themselves walking through a garden of wastes they might have contributed to and that every individual effort counts towards reducing wastes as a collective.
